The following Important Safety Information applies to THIN®, THIN-R®, and THIN-ST®, which contain GLP-1 receptor agonist medications (semaglutide or tirzepatide). This information is provided for general education only, is not a substitute for the advice of your provider, and is not complete. Always talk with a licensed healthcare provider before starting, stopping, or changing any medication.
THIN®, THIN-R®, and THIN-ST® are compounded, prescription-only medications prepared for an individual patient pursuant to a valid prescription. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or manufacturing quality. They are dispensed only if an independent licensed provider determines treatment is medically appropriate for you.
In studies, GLP-1 receptor agonists (the class that includes semaglutide and tirzepatide) caused thyroid C-cell tumors, including medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), in rodents. It is not known whether these medications cause such tumors in humans.
Do not use these products if you or a family member has ever had medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or if you have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). Tell your provider right away if you develop a lump or swelling in your neck, hoarseness, trouble swallowing, or shortness of breath.
Do not use THIN®, THIN-R®, or THIN-ST®, and tell your provider, if any of the following apply to you:
Also tell your provider about all your medical conditions — including a history of pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, diabetic retinopathy, or a history of an eating disorder — and all medicines you take, including insulin or medicines that lower blood sugar.
Like other GLP-1 medications, these products may cause side effects. The most common are gastrointestinal, and they are often most noticeable when starting treatment or increasing the dose. They may include:
Serious side effects have been reported with GLP-1 medications and may include inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), gallbladder problems, kidney problems (often related to dehydration from vomiting or diarrhea), low blood sugar (especially when used with insulin or certain diabetes medicines), serious allergic reactions, and changes in vision. Stop use and seek medical care right away if you have severe or persistent stomach pain (with or without vomiting), signs of an allergic reaction, or other severe symptoms.
Only a licensed provider can determine whether a GLP-1 medication is appropriate for you. Do not adjust your dose, combine it with other GLP-1 or weight-loss medications, or stop other prescribed treatments without talking to your provider. Follow the instructions provided with your medication and by your treating provider through PrescriberNow.
If you experience a side effect or adverse event, contact your treating provider through PrescriberNow and seek medical attention as needed. You may also notify Healthy Sprays at hello@healthysprays.com. You are encouraged to report adverse events involving medications to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's MedWatch program at 1-800-FDA-1088 or at www.fda.gov/medwatch.
If you have signs of a serious reaction — such as trouble breathing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, severe abdominal pain, or any other life-threatening symptom — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.
