What is THIN™?
THIN™ is a needle-free, prescription-only compounded semaglutide oral spray made by Healthy Sprays LLC and built for the post-GLP-1 maintenance phase. It is delivered as a spray under the tongue instead of by injection. THIN™ is our flagship; the family also includes THIN-R™ (higher-strength semaglutide) and THIN-ST™ (tirzepatide). THIN™ is dispensed only when a licensed provider determines it is medically appropriate.
How is a sublingual spray different from a pill?
A THIN™ spray is delivered under the tongue and is designed to absorb through the oral mucosa (transmucosal delivery) rather than being swallowed and broken down in the stomach and liver like a pill. There is nothing to swallow with water and no injection. Dosing is commonly two pumps per day, following your provider's directions.
Is THIN™ FDA-approved?
No. THIN™, THIN-R™, and THIN-ST™ are compounded medications prepared by a licensed 503A compounding pharmacy for an individual patient pursuant to a valid prescription. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or manufacturing quality. They are dispensed only if a licensed provider determines the medication is medically appropriate for you.
Is THIN™ a replacement for my GLP-1 injections?
THIN™ is a convenient, needle-free compounded option used during the maintenance phase — the period after you have lost weight on a GLP-1 injectable. Whether it is appropriate for you, and whether it should replace or complement any current treatment, is a medical decision made by a licensed provider. Do not stop or change any prescribed medication without talking to your provider.
How well does THIN™ work? How much weight will I lose or keep off?
We don’t make effectiveness or weight-loss claims about THIN™. It is a compounded medication that is not FDA-approved, and its outcomes have not been established through the FDA approval process. THIN™ is offered as a needle-free option for the GLP-1 maintenance phase — whether it’s appropriate for you is a clinical decision your licensed provider makes based on your individual health history. How do I take THIN™ and what is the dosing?
THIN™ is sprayed under the tongue and held briefly before swallowing. Dosing commonly starts at two pumps per day, but your exact dose and schedule are set by your prescribing provider and printed on your label. Always follow the directions provided with your medication.
Can I buy THIN™ from Healthy Sprays?
No. Healthy Sprays LLC is a brand and formulation-IP licensor. It is not a pharmacy, prescriber, or healthcare provider, and it does not sell, dispense, or ship medication or connect patients with prescribers. THIN™ is available only by prescription — talk with your own licensed healthcare provider about whether any compounded GLP-1 medication is appropriate for you.
Will a provider prescribe THIN™ if I ask?
Not necessarily. Only a licensed prescriber can decide whether a compounded GLP-1 medication is medically appropriate for you, and they may decide it is not.
What is the difference between THIN™, THIN-R™, and THIN-ST™?
THIN™ is semaglutide 7.2mg / 10mL — our everyday flagship spray for post-GLP-1 maintenance. THIN-R™ is a higher-strength semaglutide 15.0mg / 10mL option. THIN-ST™ is tirzepatide 15.0mg / 10mL, a dual-action molecule. A licensed prescriber decides which, if any, is appropriate for a patient.
Does THIN™ need refrigeration?
Unlike many injectable GLP-1s, THIN™ is designed for room-temperature convenience and does not require refrigeration, which makes it easy to travel with and use on the go. Always follow the specific storage directions provided with your medication.
Who prescribes and prepares THIN™?
Independent licensed healthcare providers make all prescribing decisions. If a provider prescribes it, an independent licensed 503A compounding pharmacy prepares the medication for that individual patient pursuant to the prescription. Healthy Sprays does not prescribe, compound, or dispense medication.
What are the side effects, and who should not use THIN™?
Because THIN™ contains the same active drug class as leading GLP-1 injectables, possible side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal discomfort, among others. GLP-1 medications may not be appropriate for people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2, certain pancreatic or gastrointestinal conditions, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
